In the movie Captain Fantastic, “interesting” is called a forbidden word. “A non-word.” I highly recommend the movie.

“Interesting” is a word that says nothing. It’s an empty concept. What makes it interesting? So if you want to express yourself clearly, don’t use “interesting,” but say what you mean. Avoid using this word as much as possible.
